So here are some things you need to know.
- For the most part prices are based on sale prices for the past 12 months.
- Some neighborhoods had very few sales meaning there is no real accurate average.
- Different apartments are priced differently so a large apartment in some neighborhoods are far more expensive per square meter than a smaller one, while in other neighborhoods the opposite is true.
- Renovated apartments are far more expensive than unrenovated.
- New construction is more expensive than apartments in older buildings.
The bottom line is that we are often comparing apples and oranges. Nevertheless this chart is a good starting point to get your bearing straight when you consider buying an apartment in Israel.
